Painting the bird
« on: September 26, 2010, 09:01:45 AM »
I decided to tear the car apart and paint it again. The first time i did the car i really had no clue what i was doing and was never really happy with it so this time i plan to take my time and do it right. Their were several areas that were not fixed correctly just covered up.

Awesome. Glad to see you are going to take your time and do it right this time. Are you going with the same color?

I love that car so much... surprised to see that there was anything wrong with it at all, but im glad to hear you're taking care of it. Very cool looking car. I really like the color too, but those dark silvers are nice also.

the quarters came from classic industries but the sheet metal came from a race car shop just down the road from my work. Im using a Lincoln 140 mig to do all the welding. 4x10 sheet of metal is around 50 bucks, if you have a local welding shop or any fabrication shops you should be able to buy some metal from them.
